We are not sustainable

 • waiting for global consensus on the problems

 • assuming fixed system structure

 • looking for the single end-goal

• looking for a single solution

• looking at too short term

• looking for centralized (government) steering to implement it

• forgetting that history matters

• believing that we can exactly predict

We can be sustainable

If we :

• act without consensus

• assume evolving system structures

• think in multitude of conditions

• look for any/many solutions

• look at long term

• accept decentralized control

• acknowledge history

• develop appropriate technology
